Introducing The Porsche 911 GT3

The Porsche 911 GT3 is one of those cars that many teenage boys dream of owning one day. As a matter of fact, girls too. Many of these teenage boys who grow up to be successful young men still aspire to own that wonderful car from Porsche. Because there is a lot to love about this four-wheeled contraption. What exactly is so good about this car that so many people seem to covet it? If you want to know the answer to this question and more, continue reading.
If you are not familiar with the Porsche 911 GT3 is, then this article is for you. It is a car that can be described as a two-door coupe. There are some people who even consider it to be a grand tourer. As a car, it was first produced back in 1999 in Leipzig, Germany, and the model that was produced back then was the one that was on offer up until 2002. The model being talked about in this article is essentially a much more capable version and high performance model. Compared with earlier models, this one has an advanced engined and was designed for maximum performance.
The RR layout platform is what is being used by Porsche to build the Porsche 911 GT3. As proof of its efficiency when it comes to maximizing performance, this car has already won about 24 different races and remains a force to reckoned with at Le Mans. With its 3.6-litre 380 HP and H6 type engine, it's not hard to see how this car was able to dominate the races.
As you can imagine, other car manufacturers aren't going to just sit around while Porsche manufactures these beasts. And so, competition became rather stiff. BMW came up with the BMW M3 GTR series of cars, while Ferrari brought out the F430 GT2 from their stable of offerings. What it comes down to, when all is said and done, is how much engineering beauty and muscle each vehicle can be stuffed with. With its history of winning the 24-hour Le Mans race in 1998 with the Porsche 911 GT1, Porsche is able to comfortably hold its head high with the Porsche 911 GT3.
With a top speed of 194 miles per hour, a six-speed manual gearbox and acceleration of 0-62 mph: 4.1 seconds you can see how this model captures the mood that makes Porsche a class above other luxury marques.
